OSUN HERBALIST ARRESTED FOR RITUAL MURDER OF GHANAIAN FRIEND


Osogbo, Osun State – The Osun State Police Command has apprehended a 50-year-old herbalist, Kehinde Ganiyu, for the gruesome murder of his Ghanaian friend, Emmanuel Collins. The suspect allegedly slit Collins’ throat to create ritual soap for internet fraudsters, known as “yahoo boys.”

The heinous crime occurred on July 20 in Oba-Oke, Olorunda Local Government Area. Police Public Relations Officer Yemisi Opalola paraded the suspect on July 26, revealing that he was caught with incriminating evidence, including:

  • Four blood-stained knives
  • One chisel
  • Two gourds
  • Wooden traditional pot containing black soap
  • Two sponges with black soap
  • Traditional tray (Opon Ifa)
  • Local charms

Ganiyu’s arrest marks a significant breakthrough in the investigation, shedding light on the dark practices of ritual killings in the region. The police are working to unravel the extent of the suspect’s involvement and potential accomplices.
